It's Raining Outside

by DJ Darkat

A couple of weeks back, it was raining like mad out here in California. My good friend Justin Credible kept calling up during our radio show asking me to play songs about rain. I finally broke under the pressure, and here is what I came up with: An hour and a half of nothing but songs about rain, on beautiful, crackly old vinyl records. The perfect match for a rainy day.

Criminology

by Dan Martino

Reports coming into the magical bodega that is The Dope Spot this week is that the Wu, down many members on Friday night at the Nokia Theater, still brought the menace. I'm certainly enjoying this new track, "Criminology 2.5," which is part of their new LP, Wu Massacre, dropping March 29th. As usual, there's plenty of new stuff to dig into and funky classics to get your Monday moving.
