Tru Thoughts Radio - Chameleon

“On The Sly” featuring Kylie Auldist is the fantastic first single from the upcoming new album 4 by The Bamboos. The single is out on February 9th, and is backed with the straight-up party tune “Turn It Up” featuring Lyrics Born, making for a very heavyweight 12” indeed. You’ll find both of those tracks plus the “On The Sly” instrumental cut...by popular demand. The stylish “On The Sly” video was directed and shot by Lachlan Thompson of the Film Cartel in Australia. The theme portrays a clever take of the tune; almost like watching a clip from an old James Bond film starring band leader Lance Ferguson. Lance and the band members (along with a mysterious woman) plan and act out a slick jewel heist. As most James Bond movies end, we all learn to think twice before trusting a pretty lady…After the cut.

It’s time to Unfold with the first show of the year. We're still celebrating The Best of 2009 from Robert Luis and Tru Thoughts with the final episode in a series of four. Two hours jam packed with eclectic musical treasures from RZA, Crowhead, Nostalgia 77 featuring the legendary Keith Tippett, Disrupt, Sully, Bibio, Sa Ra, and an appropriate ending from the recently retired…Domu. Best wishes for 2010!
